Best War Strategies

Alright guys, we were talking earlier about the best ways that we can win wars.  So here is what I want happening:
     1) For the first 6 hours, if you are in the bottom half of our clan (for example, if there are 30 people, you're number 16-30), attack anyone in the opposing clan for both of your attacks.  Your attacks will help determine how the top half of our clan attacks.
     2) After about 6 hours of waiting for the bottom half of the clan to attack, we'll step in and clean up anything that needs to be cleaned up.  The way we'll do this is, if you're number 15, you'll attack their number 30, if you're number 14, you'll attack their number 29 and so forth.  If there is a 3 star on one of them, go to the next number.

Here is an example:  let's say I'm number 8 in the clan.  I'm going to wait for the first 16-30 people to attack.  After 6 hours of waiting, I will attack their number 23, after attacking their number 23, I will try to attack my recommended.

Here is the order of attacks:

Your Rank - Attack this rank:
       1                      16
       2                      17
       3                      18
       4                      19
       5                      20
       6                      21
       7                      22
       8                      23
       9                      24
     10                      25
     11                      26
     12                      27
     13                      28
     14                      29
     15                      30

The bottom 15 should always try to get at least one 3 star in the war. That way the top 15 can focus our efforts and more easily win the wars.

Town Hall 9 Protected, Defensive, Farming, Hybrid.

This base has served me well.  Maybe not as good as I would like, but it has held up to some pretty gnarly defenses.  The only thing that can take it down are hogs.  Anything else just dies on the rim.  Check it out, here is the defensive end.
Here I tried to show my organization again.  I have my mortars in the orange triangle, my x-bows on the blue line, my air defense is in a red square around my town hall, wizard towers are in a purple square, cannons are in a yellow pentagon, and archers towers are in the green hexagon.  Notice how everything is symmetrical.  Everything equally protects everything else around it.  As I stated before, only hogs can take this beast down, then again, hogs can usually take down pretty much anything they want.  I'm going to be doing some research and development on layouts that will protect from hogs and everything else.  I've already got some ideas, but just need to refine them.

On this image, you can see my farming layout.  It's exactly the same, except I have my town hall switched with the laboratory, and I have place hidden teslas around my town hall.  I actually win some battles from lower level troops when they try to attack my town hall.  So I usually don't get attacked big, but it happens sometimes.

Here is a close up on the town hall, just out of reach from that cannon and archer tower, so that people will attack it.

New and Effective Clan War Strategy

This is a strategy as a clan, not as an individual.  It's so simple, it's ridiculous.  When war day starts, you don't attack the highest base you think you can 1-star, you want to attack the highest base you think you can 3-star, even if a dragon or level 5 wizards come marching out of their clan castle.  If you don't 3-star them, you will be close with at least a 2-star.  That will guarantee many stars, and usually get us a win.   Your second attack will be the highest person you think you can 2-star, even with those high level clan castle reinforcements of theirs.

Using this strategy has won us 5 in a row, and some of them were kinda close (43-32), but we still won.  The next clan we're facing is huge, and I don't know how we'll do.  But if we stick to this strategy we'll do well, even if we don't win, it should be close.

Clan Wars Procedures

For Mayhem 1.0 (Mayhem 2.0 and 3.0, discuss amongst yourselves, but this sounds like the best plan so far):  We will start the preparation days on Monday and Thursday, and have war days on Tuesday and Friday.

In case you still don't quite get how clan wars work, here's the rundown.  Clan wars last for 2 days.  During the first day (preparation day) you get the chance to donate troops that will be used for defense no matter how many times you get attacked during the war day.  At the end of preparation day, the base that you have built, will be the base that gets attacked.  Make sure that you build a strong base that will hold up against attacks.  When donating troops for war, only donate what's been requested.  If there is less than an hour left, and someone hasn't customized their request on the war map, give them level 4 wizards or higher.

The second day is war day, and you get 2 attacks.  We're going for stars, so if you can get 2 or 3 stars on a base, that's what we need.  If a base already has 2 stars, you don't need to attack it.  Try attacking a base that hasn't been attacked yet, or only has 1 star.  Please attack a base that is close to the same size, or bigger.  Never go lower, because there are usually lower leveled players in our clan that need to attack the enemy's lower level players.

The biggest and most helpful advice for the war is TALK among the other clan members to see what is going on.  Really be active, and help out during those days.  If you aren't active very much, be sure to at least get on to request on Monday and Thursday, and attack twice on Tuesday and Friday.

There will still be a lot of unanswered questions, if you have any, feel free to comment below and I will try to get them answered as soon as possible.  Clash On!!

Trophy Push Starts Tomorrow!

Alright guys, the trophy push starts in just a sec, are you ready?  There are practically infinite amounts of different troop variations you can build to do well during attacks.  Different troop composites will result in different outcomes for different bases.  Sometimes only one set of troops will work against a base.  See what works best for you, then use that on similar bases.

I said this before, but I will say it again:
TH7 - You should get to gold 1 or crystal 3
TH8 - You should get to crystal 2 or 1
TH9 - You should get to crystal 1 or higher

I believe this is something easily attainable.  We had many people at TH7 get to crystal 3 last push.  My own personal goal is to get to Master, which is a challenge, but will most likely happen.

March 17th Trophy Push

I have been getting a lot of questions lately about the trophy push that we are doing soon.  Here is what is going to happen:
1) The push will start on March 17th, and will go until the end of the season (2 weeks)
2) I will pull some people from Mayhem 2.0, and Mayhem 3.0, who are a higher level and will be able to get to a high trophy level, and put them in Mayhem 1.0
3) If Mayhem 2.0 wants to do their own push, I think that would be a good idea.  However, I have decided (and my wallet decided too) that I will only be able to give gift cards for a couple of people in Mayhem 1.0 after the push.
4) To prepare for the push, you will need to upgrade as many defenses as possible, don't worry about upgrading walls yet, just get the defenses as high as possible.  During the push, try not to upgrade too many defensive buildings, as that will make your base more vulnerable.  Upgrade walls instead, that doesn't take time, and doesn't make a building useless for a couple days.

I have some pretty good expectations: I expect everyone in town hall 7 to be able to get to gold 1, and possibly crystal 3 or 2.  During the last push we had a few TH7 get to Crystal 3 and 2.  I expect everyone with TH8 to get to Crystal 2 as a minimum, and possibly Crystal 1 or Master 3.  I expect everyone with TH9 to get to Crystal 1, or Master 3, or 2.  And for TH10, you have to get to at least Master 3 or higher.  We will be able to do this!  It will be awesome!

1 Million Loot

This is what 1 million loot (or 1/2 million each) looks like.
In this video I also talk a little about the push that will be starting next month.  We are going to be one of the best clans out there!
